Crimson Luxe Bracelet
Almost every ruby on the market has passed through a furnace to lift its colour. These have not. A single unheated stone of good saturation is a find; twenty-one carats of them, matched closely enough to sit side by side along a wrist, is a different proposition altogether — and that matching is what this bracelet really is.
The rubies are cut four ways, oval, pear, cushion and round, and set at varying scales, so that no two neighbours ever quite repeat. Between them, diamond runs as pointed leaf forms and open scrolls, gathering at the centre into a symmetrical lobed plaque with an oval ruby held at its middle. From there the bracelet tapers to a narrow band at the clasp: the mass sits across the top of the wrist, the sides stay slim.
The construction is openwork throughout, articulated between every element, nothing laid on a solid plate. That is why a substantial bracelet lies along the arm as a bracelet rather than a cuff, and why the whole length follows the wrist instead of standing away from it.
The manner is Art Deco, in the 1920s garland style: scrolled openwork, mixed cuts, a defined centre and a symmetrical fall to either side.
Certification accompanies the piece, including the unheated report on the rubies.
