Ocean Breeze Earrings

Blue at the top, blue at the base, and one flash of green between them — the colours of a coastline seen from the water.

The blue is the sea itself: a pear-cut sapphire at the ear and, at the foot of the drop, an oval sapphire fuller and deeper again, so the colour gathers as it falls. Sapphire runs to 6.25 carats across the pair and holds both ends of the line.

The green appears once, a single Colombian emerald, warm and faintly blue in its own right — the shore glimpsed between two stretches of open water. It is small enough to arrive as a moment, and the eye travels back to the blue immediately after it.

A diamond sits directly above the emerald, clear and bright, and gives the green its own light to sit in. That is the breeze in the piece: the one white note across all that colour.

The four stones hang on open links, each swinging against the next, so the whole line stirs as the head turns. At the ear, a fluted white gold disc, its pleats cut to follow the pear outline of the stone it holds. Every stone below it is claw-set with the girdle left open, so light enters from behind and carries through.

In 14-karat white gold — long enough to move with the head, narrow enough to stay a line.
